KTH-India Scholarship for pursuing engineering in Stockholm foreign scholarship

The KTH–India Scholarship Foundation was established through a donation made by an anonymous donor in the year 2012. The objective of the foundation was to provide two scholarships to needy Indian students for pursuing engineering studies at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Students qualified for KTH-India scholarship will have their tuition fee waived for the entire duration of the programme. Besides this KTH India Scholarship for pursuing engineering in Stockholm also covers monthly allowance during the academic year( for 10 months). Initially, the scholarship is granted for one academic year but gradually it can be extended if the candidate shows a satisfactory level of performance in each exam.




In order to be eligible to apply for KTH-India Scholarship:

  • You must have applied for a Masters programme at KTH Royal institute of technology, Stockholm and you must have paid the required fees for that course.
  • You must be an Indian national who has completed his undergraduate study in India. Students with a conditional eligibility are eligible to apply for a tuition fee waiver.

Note: i) Students pursuing joint Masters degree are not eligible for KTH-India scholarship
         ii) KTH-Scholarship is for abroad engineering studies.



Deadline Details

The KTH Scholarship will be open for application from 1st December 2016 to 16th January 2017


Scholarship Amount Details

1.KTH-India Scholarship recipients will have their tuition fee waived for the overall length of the programme. 
2.The KTH scholarship additionally  includes a month-to-month allowance during the academic year (10 months) and is initially granted for one academic year but  it can be gradually extended if  the candidate shows satisfactory performance in each exam. 


There is no separate process for applying for KTH-India Scholarship. The scholarship application process can be undertaken in parallel with the process of admission to the programme.
