The Goa's Dempo Group and Fomento Group Collaborated to form  Goa Education Trust (GET), a public charitable trust, further in the year 2009 GET pacted with British Council to launch Goa Education Trust scholarship so that students from Goa could undertake postgraduate study in any UK University.  GET since its inception, has awarded scholarships to a number of  Goan students so that they can fulfil their dream of obtaining a degree from reputed UK Universities in various disciplines such as Journalism, Education, Ancient History and Law. Later on, in 2015 the Goa Education Trust Scholarship was made open to all Indian national irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region. The scholarship is now open for application for ANY Indian national who wish to pursue Masters Programme in UK.






In order to be eligible for Goa Education Trust Scholarship the applicant must:

  • have applied for suitable Masters Programme in UK  beginning in September/October 2017 (The candidate will have to furnish the testimonial of admission at the time of interview)
  • Be an Indian citizen with possessing valid India Passport at the time of applying.
  • not exceed 30 years of age at the time of applying
  • have an impressive track record in both academics and extra-curricular activities

Scholarship Amount Details

Goa Education Trust Scholarship will fund young Indians to pursue a Masters in the UK and will cover part or full tuition fees not exceeding GBP 12500 


The application for Goa Education Trust Scholarship can be submitted either by post or by email.

Submission of application form by email:

  1. First of al download the application form for Goa Education Trust (GET) Scholarship-2017  by clicking on apply link of the site.

  2. The application form comprises of six parts viz., Personal Details, Academic Background, Professional Background, Proposed course of study in UK, Referees and personal statement

  3. Fill-up all the parts with utmost care, there is also blank space for your Proposed Future Plans and Achievements/Awards. In Proposed Future Plan section you will have to describe how you propose to apply your knowledge and experience gained in Uk for betterment of your people in home country & in Achievements/Award section you have to describe brief outline of your awards/achievements in 150 words

  4. Ensure the following supporting documents are scanned and  mailed along with the filled in application form

                i)Copy of birth certificate as applicant’s age proof
                ii)Copy of passport details as applicant’s address proof
                iii)Copy of your conditional/ unconditional admission letter from the UK institution (if already received)
                iv)One academic and one professional reference letter, although recent graduates may submit two academic references of not more than one A4 size page each

      4. Entire application pack including the filled in application form with photograph and all the required supporting scanned documents to be mailed in one email not exceeding 10 MB to 

Submission by post:

In case the candidate cannot submit the application form electronically; Hard copy of applications can also be submitted by post to the British Council Division, Mumbai. 

  • For submission by post the candidate need to download the application form by clicking on the additional link of the site and filled in the complete details and post it to the address mentioned in contact details section of the site along with a photograph and hard copies of documents mentioned above.
