Bose-Einstein Scholarship Test (Best) is an endeavour of JMMC Research foundation to identify and nurture elementary school talent, which otherwise would have gone unrecognised despite their outstanding abilities. JMMC foundation with the help of International research scholars and mentors selects the best mind in mathematics through written exam and award them scholarship worth Rs.2000 per month for a year. Besides the scholarship amount the selected student will also get one time book grant worth Rs.3000, exposure to seminar, workshops, research projects and free mentorship from internationally acclaimed mathematicians. 

The scholarship test will be conducted at four levels viz., Foundation level for students studying in VIII & IX class, Intermediate level for IX and X class students, Upper Intermediate Level for students studying in classes XI & XII and Major level for students undergoing graduate study. The syllabus will be different for each level of exam. Students desirous of taking Bose-Einstein Scholarship Test (Best) can submit their application through both online and offline mode to JMMC Research Foundation before 16th January 2017.

The selection of Bose-Einstein Scholar will de done on the basis of written test and performance of the candidate at viva-voce/interview.



Since Bose-Einstein Scholarship Test is conducted at four levels i.e Foundation, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, and Major the students must meet following educational criteria prescribed for each level:

  • Foundation Level : Candidates of classes VII & VIII
  • Intermediate Level : Candidates of classes IX & X
  • Upper Intermediate Level : Candidates of classes XI & XII
  • Major Level : Students of Undergraduate level


Deadline Details
  • The last date of submission of online & offline application form for Bose EBose-Einsteinarship Test is 16th January 2017
  • Exam date 29th January (Sunday) Time 12:00 Noon to 1 pm and 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm (Exam location Kolkata)
  • Offline Admit card : 22nd January 2017 (From JMMC Office)
  • Online Admit card : 26th January 2017
  • The merit list of the selected candidates will be declared on 22nd April, (Saturday) 2017 at 5 pm

Scholarship Amount Details

Each selected students under Bose Einsteins Scholarship Programme is entitled to receive following benefits:

  • Scholarship amount worth Rs.2000 for 12 months
  • One time book grant worth Rs. 3000
  • Exposure to seminars, workshops, research base project work etc.


Application form for Bose-Einstein Scholarship Test can be submitted via online or offline mode:

For Online Mode:

  • Click on the apply link of the site and you will be directed to online application form of Bose-Einstein Scholarship Test
  • Fill up the required details in the application form and submit it.
  • There is an application fee of Rs.500/- (non-refundable) which the student can pay through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card

For Offline mode:

  • Student who wants to apply offline may obtain the application form the JMMC Research Foundation’s office in person or they can send a self-addressed envelope with Rs.10 stamp affixed on it or they can also download the application form by clicking on the additional link of the site.
  • Complete the application form in all respect, attached Rs.500 DD drawn in favour of “JMMC Institution” and sent it to JMMC Research Foundation’s office located at Kolkata( for complete address refer contact detail section)
